We had an earthquake here yesterday, very early morning, but there haven't been any others....It's very scary to go through one of those if you have never been through one ever, and I haven't...Now, we are just in tsunami warnings here the whole day, and are limited to everything that was do...For some reason, security has been heightened, and become more strict, and we are constantly being watched except when we are in our own homes. I've been through heavy storms, just none of this stuff like over here....typhoons, earthquakes, tsunamis...all that is completely new to me...What's even more scarier is that these earthquakes traveled all the way from Japan and then went and hit Chile...same day and everything, only we were several hours ahead...but both of them happened on Saturday...tooo terrifying....I hope nothing like that happens anymore while I'm over here..I've only got a few more months to go....

Health Home Health Experts Dr. Mao's Secrets of Longevity What Your Face Reveals About Your Health What Your Face Reveals About Your Health By Dr. Maoshing Ni - Fri, Feb 19, 2010 Dr. Mao's Secrets of Longevity How Traditional Chinese Medicine Reads the Body to Detect Disease Most people don't realize that their face provides information about what's going on beneath the surface. Your body speaks a unique language to communicate the imbalances within it. Chinese medicine has mastered the art and science of reading the body's language over its five thousand year practice. Each part of your face reflects a different element from the Chinese 5-Element network (fire, earth, water, metal, and wood), which in turn, corresponds to a particular organ grouping. Your reflection offers visual cues to what may be happening within your internal systems--such as your heart, stomach, hormones and even your mind and spirit. In some situations visual cues will immediately alert you of an issue, and you can take measures immediately. But the real value of self-inspection is in detecting subtle imbalances and dealing with them preventively through diet, herbal supplementation, and lifestyle practices. By reading your body, you can take care of small problems before they become big health issues. The Forehead According to Chinese medicine, the forehead corresponds to the fire element. This is associated with the heart and small intestine organ network, as well as the mind and spirit. Forehead: Fire Element - Heart/Small Intestine When examining your forehead, look for redness or small blood vessels that appear as discoloration, which could indicate a heart problem. Skin discoloration could also be caused by a recent emotionally-charged experience, such as a breakup or loss. It is common for people whose emotions are regularly in turmoil to have a constant furrow between their eyebrows. A heart attack can often be foretold by a subtle bluish-green hue on the forehead. If you have discoloration on your forehead accompanied by heart palpitations, dizziness, shortness of breath, and tingling or pain in your left arm, schedule an appointment with a cardiologist or visit an emergency room, if necessary. Your Nose Your nose corresponds to the earth element, indicating a connection to the stomach, spleen and pancreas network. Nose: Earth Element - Spleen/Pancreas/Stomach Symptoms of internal discord typically show up as a pimple on the tip or side of your nose. Think back to your meals from the previous day. Did you eat a lot of spicy, deep-fried, fatty, or rich foods? How about chocolate? If the answer is "yes," your choice of cuisine could be the problem. As a result, you may suffer from indigestion, constipation, or diarrhea. Broken capillaries or redness across the bridge of the nose could reveal alcohol abuse, or it may simply mean excessive worry and stress, which taxes your earth element network. I had a patient who would de-stress from her taxing executive job with alcohol and sweets, and her nose always gave these indiscretions away. I recommended she calm her nerves in healthier ways, like meditation and other stress-releasing techniques. Your Chin The chin area is related to the water element, which is internally associated to your kidney and bladder organ network, including the hormonal system and glands. Chin: Water Element - Kidney/Bladder Blemishes, discoloration and dark patches of skin around the chin and mouth could indicate problems within the kidneys or bladder. Recurrent acne breakouts around your chin may signify a hormonal imbalance. The problem is most often due to the body producing excess estrogen or testosterone and tends to be coupled with irregular menstruation in women and prostate symptoms in men. Be sure to also look at your philtrum, the indentation just above your lips. This small area relates to the uterus and ovaries in women and the prostate and genitals in men. Horizontal lines, blemishes or discoloration across the philtrum may indicate infertility issues due to problems such as endometriosis or uterine fibroid cysts. According to Chinese medicine, people who have a small chin are genetically predispositioned to weakness in their kidney and bladder network. However, this doesn't mean that small-chinned people will develop kidney disease. The information is simply an alert that a tendency may exist, and patients can choose to make lifestyle changes to prevent the development of a condition. Your Right Cheek Your right cheek corresponds to the metal element, meaning this area of your face is connected to the lung and large intestine network. Right Cheek: Metal Element - Lung/Large Intenstine Problems in the lung and large intestine network present themselves as discoloration, blemishes and skin problems on your right cheek. A mild acne breakout, eczema patch or slight redness may mean a cold is coming on. Lung illness or upper respiratory ailments also trigger visual symptoms on the right cheek. People who are prone to respiratory allergies or asthma have a tendency to have a reddish, scaly eczema, a slight rash or slight bluish-green hue along the right cheek--showing too much heat or inflammation in the respiratory system, or a lack of oxygen from bronchial constriction. One of my many pediatric patients who suffered from allergic asthma always displayed an eczema-like patch right before a flare up of her allergy attack, a very useful tip off. I instructed her mother to treat her right away with herbs for allergies to avert an asthma attack. Your Left Cheek The left cheek corresponds to your wood element, or the liver-gallbladder network. Left Cheek: Wood Element - Liver/Gallbladder Broken capillaries and redness, especially up next to the bridge of your nose, indicate heat, inflammation or congestion of toxins in the liver. Bulging veins, redness, and rash sometimes signal high blood pressure and pent-up anger. A yellowish hue under the left eye may indicate gallstones or high triglycerides or cholesterol, which are processed by the liver-gall bladder network. Problems in this part of the face can also reveal emotional issues, such as anger and depression, since the liver and gallbladder network includes the nervous system. Please keep in mind that there are many ways that your body alerts you to imbalances. As you learn this visual method, you'll want to be able to confirm your findings from one body part with observations from others, such as the eyes, tongue, and nails. Want to learn more? I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I had a nice relaxing one, and am finally getting caught up on things where I don't have to be so rushed on everything like I was before...It's hard to figure out if I am coming down sick or not, cause it's hot, then it gets rainy and cold then hot again, like it was today again...Since it turned out kind of nice this weekend, there were street performances over on the corners where American Village is here. I watched a few of them until they started imitating scenes from Titantic, and I called it quits then and moved on. Sorry, but a 13 year old joke is only funny for so long, and then it just isn't funny anymore. I went to one of these 100 Yen Japanese shops here today. They are just like Dollar stores back in the states, and I had no idea they had them over in UK as well.. wow I learn something new everyday... here's a video from both of them so you all can compare and see what they are like, and what kind of stuff we have over here. It's fun just to go and look, or show everyone else cause it's not a common thing. I was completely lost the first time I saw one of these places, always having been around American things my whole life. That video on the cats my friend sent me it was too funny not to include on here...

I just found out about this plane crash that happened just hours away from where I lived back home, just a different state. (no I am not from Texas!!!) I think I will make that my slogan from now on, since I am asked that sooo much and it is REALLYYYYY starting to become extremely annoying...It makes me mad that I found out a few days later here, cause this obviously happened in the middle of the night for us whenever it was day there. I thought these acts of craziness were done with for awhile, but there's always someone wanting their 15 minutes of fame...Sure, I wouldn't mind it, but I wouldn't want attention this way...I'm still trying to let this sink in, since it's all over the world by now...http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/02/18/austin-plane-crash-office_n_467264.html http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/Small-plane-crashes-into-Austin-office/ss/events/us/021810austinplane#photoViewer=/100220/photos_ts_afp/32e9a51650719e0dd59f575037a99a5b

Right when everyone thought we were going to have summertime start in February, it started raining, and it's turned cold again. This is winter for us here. I read on here and also heard on the tv, that 49 out of 50 states had snow. That has never happened ever the whole time that I lived there, and even since I've been gone these last few years. It's kind of freaky when you stop and think about it. The only one that didn't have snow was Hawaii, which didn't surprise me at all. This year is going a bit faster than I realized. I'm finishing things up, and hopefully moving on soon in just about everything. I can never stay in one place for long, I get bored to death with it, and so beyond restless I want to scream...too hard to explain... Two years solid stuck on this island, and just one more month of waiting, and I will get my vacation finally. I will get to get off this island for about a week and a half at the most. I'm soooo excited and thrilled to pieces about it that I can hardly sleep sometimes at night, like now...To pass the time, I've been swapping different commercials with my friend back and forth to see how funny they are. I can still remember some funny ones from Italy, but I had no idea what they were advertising... I'm still halfway in shock on some of these things that I'm just now discovering. It's pretty fun actually, and I've done that my whole life, it's just harder now to find someone else who also wants to join in with you to do that, since everything is on the internet and email now. Sorry, that stuff is okay, but getting big or small or even just flat envelopes in the mail make me jump in the air I get sooo excited. Esp. at the thought of someone sending me something all the way over here. I can't describe the feeling really...I found the top 10 SuperBowl commercials for 2010 this year. I'm just now seeing some of these for the very first time after like 2 weeks ago. It's soo frustrating cause we don't get these at all over here, but at least I can pull them up on the computer. Most of these in my opinion, are just plain dumb. They were way funnier in the earlier years. You all will see what I"m talking about as I count back the years from 2010...And just when exactly did they start having CHERRY DR. PEPPER!?!?!?! (AND WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT IT?!?!?!?!?!) ahhhh we don't have anything here!!!! I can't even get that sent to me either!!! (Perhaps I can order it?????? is that even possible???!!) I know Dr. Pepper has their own website!!! I thought about the only funny one was the one where the guy is like falling off the ladder, the one where they fling the whale back in the ocean, my sides are still hurting lol, and the lasttt Doritos one lol NOT the one with the dog lol...Whoever thought up these commercials put in wayyyy toooo many guys who desperately need to go and shave their back (or go and help each other do that lol lol lol that would be a commecial in itself lol) and also to knock the chip off their shoulder. I got a list of people who need to do that here where I'm at, but I know that's not going to happen anytime soon... okay good night everyone chat with you all soon, only one more day in the weeeeekkkkkkkkkkk.... ☺♥♥♫ xxx

Happy Valentine's Day all, I hope everyone is having (or has had, as in my case since now it's after 9pm here at night) I had a really nice time the whole day long, and am always sad to see it come to an end...I had a great time with my friends last night, and also meeting up with new friends here, and enjoying today not having to worry on a time schedule...We went and saw this movie as well, kind of a last minute decision, but I"m always up for anything just about, and don't care what it is a lot of the time, as long as it's not something boring, disgusting, or just plain gross. I thought this was really good, and showed insight on military life, and captured a lot of emotions that are experienced, and really can't be explained. It will be awhile before I can watch this again, cause it's been several hours since this has been over with, and I'm still bothered by some things in it that I saw...I guess cause I'm also living it.

sorry, everything got mixed up when I put it on here, and I'm not able to switch it around now, not sure what I did as usual....The first 2 were the ones that were huge jokes all over the USA, the 3rd one is from this year, and the last one is from UK. That one is tooo funny, I had no idea they acted that way, I really wish I could be around people like that who had a sense of humor, and weren't so dead serious all the time...No wonder I struggle half to death not to fall asleep all the time, I'm bored outta my mind....I have more, but it messed up on me too many times already, so I will put them on later once this doesn't say Thursday anymore...It will all day tomorrow here whenever it's Friday...ughhhhh it even confuses me...good night all...xxxxx
LOL.....OMG....just WHAT were these people thinking?!?!? I get a kick out of such ridiculous so called talent cause it's just so entertaining to me...this first one is sooo funny, I've never seen that one before cause it's from UK, the other 2 under that were all over the Internet as soon as that episode aired, and the jokes are still going on...I'm one to be right in the middle of it of course...totally pointless, but I need something since they took my show off the air, and the reruns just aren't the same ever...hope u all get a good laugh, I will keep looking for more!!!! these are priceless!!!! hahahahaha lol lol lol talk soon all...xxxxxx
