Just Felt An Earthquake Here In Oklahoma.....Still Scared Out Of My Mind....

Oklahoma Earthquakes 2011

Yet another thread coming back from the depths. :-)

2010 finished out a pretty active year with with well over 200 earthquakes in the state, including the 2nd strongest in recorded history on October 13th of a 4.7 magnitude in the Norman/Noble area.

The Oklahoma Geological Survey has been updating their website with a ton of new features. http://www.okgeosurvey1.gov/

One of the best pages is the Recent Earthquake report: http://www.okgeosurvey1.gov/pages/ea...arthquakes.php

This map is updated with all earthquakes recording by the monitoring sites in Oklahoma, and most of these quakes do not register on the USGS site.

Also added is the catalogs page that has documented all (recorded) earthquakes in Oklahoma since 1897, even though most monitoring didn't start until about 50 years ago. http://www.okgeosurvey1.gov/pages/ea...s/catalogs.php http://www.okctalk.com/showthread.php?t=24877&page=1
