100 Places To See In Your Lifetime-Heaven On Earth#54-Bhaktapur, Nepal-Foundede circa 865 A.D., this town in central Nepal mesmerizes visitors with its profusion of monuments-typically terra-cotta artworks with ornate struts, windows and doors topped by gilded roofs and pinnacles. There are three majestic squares, led by Durbar, the site of the well-preserved Palace of 55 Windows, with its carved windows that become still more intricate as you climb to higher balconies." Wow, what an outstanding country....I know this would take my breath away completely, and I could spend entire days in one place I'd be so amazed cause all this is so old there...I'd love every bit of it, and would gladly love to run into someone else who shared this enthusiam with me...All day long it was waiting out this typhoon thing....They always make it sound much worse than it actually is, and I'm glad my power didn't go out, or my living room get half flooded....It was all day waiting, and it hit this evening and only lasted a few hours with just heavy winds blowing the trees around, and raining hard is all....That's all we got over here where I'm

at...I'm not sure about anywhere else....So I guess it's all back to normal schedules tomorrow until the end of the week...don't know why this couldn't have happened on like Friday to have 4 days off instead of just 3...I can't control these things just like anyone else can't....I had no problem with it, and found plenty to do...great movie watching, and it gave me a chance to make my own Mexican food for once since we couldn't go out..Everything is still shut up, boarded up, closed up, until I don't know when....That sure came and went fast...Some of these islands I heard they last 3 days for the typhoons whenever they hit....Oh wow, look at that....this is the very last day of the this month....Next month is falltime...I find out where we go after next year in just a few days I hope....I didn't expect this, so now it may be longer since everyone got a day off, and it may be longer like until next week for waiting to find out the answer....It's driving me crazy too, I think that is one of the reasons I came down sick so suddenly, because I am never sick...like once or twice a year is all, and this was #2 for this year....Hopefully no more, cause I really don't like feeling that way at all...It will be just 3 months and possibly 2 weeks then for me being here in Okinawa then when it finally hits midnight here...how excited I am that my time is finally winding down here....Let's see things I will miss here??? can't think of anything cause I never became attached to this place!!!! So this week is messed up, so I hope the rest of it flies by since there are only 3 days left...I think my excitement should start kicking in once I find out some kind of an answer....I just don't like this sitting and waiting and not knowing.....Oh, for these pics, the first one is a watermelon art pic I did just last month...it turned out too cute I think, and am just waiting now to get it framed...the 2nd one, is here in Okinawa...just out one of the gates here, we were stopped at a light, stuck in traffic, and I liked how this looked with the block on the corner, and the Japanese drummer...I will have to go back, and take it again, cause right when I went to take it, we moved, and I got the pole that stands in front of this....the 3rd and 4th ones are the Italian restarant that I go to here sometimes for breakfast and dinner....I love it there, it's too pretty and it really helps to get my Italian fix once a week by going there cause I miss Italy too much...I'm sure everyone knows this by now as much as I always talk about it and am always comparing...the 5th one is my cute and sweet Hello Kitty wall clock that I got a few months back, then we had to move, and I finally got to hang it up here...I love how this looks, and even though this one doesn't play music on every hour, I still can get by with just the look....I may have to take another and post it next time I put pics on here, I'm not sure why this one turned out so yellow looking...that is not yellow, it's white with a brown outer casing...(????) after my clock, is another thing that I made...I love the words to that, and can't wait to get it framed either and hang it by my front door....It really makes me think whenever I keep reading it over and over....the last one is just a framed picture that I have on my wall here..."The Best Things In Life Are Free" When we count our blessing, it isn't hard to see, that life's most valued treasures are the treasures that are free, For it isn't that we own or buy that signifies our wealth, It's the special gifts that have no price: Our Family, Friends and Health.

100 Places To See In Your Lifetime#53-Torres del Paine, Chile-"Located in the southern Patogonia region of Chile, this 600,000 acre park is an unspoiled wonderland. Three mountains dominate the profile, and permit flora ranging from grasslands to diminishing forests that suggest a Bonsai garden. There are glaciers, waterfalls and lagoons, with waters varying from blue to green. Fauna include foxes, condors, rheas(ostrichlike birds) and guanacos, which are related to llamas."What an absoulutely beautiful country....Of course I say this about every country that I see, but wow.....So many places I still have to see, and would never get tired of any of this, or going right on to the next one......I"ve never heard of this place either, so I"m loving every minute of this learning about these places I can find an excuse to go to one day to mark off that I have seen them all....Can't wait cause all these places are gorgeous and I'd love them all....We are in TCC-01 now. That is the typhoon condition before a typhoon hits. Back in Italy, it went up....from TCC-01 and whenever it got to TCC-03 that was the worst....Here in Japan, it is just

reversed....It goes from TCC-03, and then moves down....We are expecting a typhoon to hit here in just a few hours, we have been in warnings all weekend and yesterday and today all day long....We had to start moving stuff in, and tying it down, and putting sand bags in front of the back doors...We were upstairs at our last place, so we never had to worry about flooding....here the backyard part floods and sometimes comes in the back door....not sure how well sandbags will keep water out of just an aluminum door they put on....Everything is closing down now, and the roads are completely empty that it's actually scary.....I'm off as well part of tomorrow, maybe the whole day, just not sure yet, so I don't know what this will do, or how bad this typhoon will be....Kind of nice though, cause I can sleep, and be on here, and get caught up on things, and just do what I want to.....I don't know if our electricity will go out or not, but they are telling everyone to expect it to for several hours....We are okay during these, it just rains heavy, and there are heavy winds, but it's a lot to prepare for one coming here...It is somewhere around us now, so another hour, or another few hours it will hit, and I won't be able to be on here....As long as another typhoon doesn't ruin my trip this year, I don't care when they hit, so it can keep this up for the rest of the week for all I care....Just don't touch my trip, and everything will be just fine...I definately don't want another repeat of last year.....Just a few more days until I find out the answer as well...It's killing me if anyone else is wondering...The skin along the sides of my fingernails is peeling, and I never ever have this problem...not only does it hurt like crazy, but I can't stand how it looks, and it would hurt toooooo bad to try and get it taken care of or cut it off.......I seriously need this week to hurry up cause I totally loose it when it comes to worrying about something I can do nothing about......Oh, these are more pics of stuff that I made, my Care Bear, and other ones I did...I have these all hanging up now....I get them done in just a few weeks or few months....I never stop cause I can't stand just sitting and not being able to get anything done.....I have more that aren't even here, like 2 containers of those things, so maybe when I get all my stuff out of storage I will see them again and can show you all too...hope everyone is doing fine....I have to move more things inside or go and tie them down so they don't go flying someplace.....take care everyone we're about to have another typhoon here in Japan...the 2nd one I'll be in..the one last year wasn't anything, just wind and rain, but nothing major....I"ll try and take pictures if I can do that...yes I'm that obsessed about picture taking....A huge storm going on, and I'm just focused on how many pics I can get of whatever is happening....

100 Places To See In Your Lifetime-#52 Bruges, Belgium-"This Belgium city reminds one of an exquisite miniature. One can't help feeling that the whole town-tiny streets, gabled houses, scores of bridges-has been lifted intact from the Middle Ages, with not a stone out of place. Given its delicacy, it is appropriate that Bruges has long been synonymous with the making of fine lace, a popular souvinier." I finally got my new pics on here ...these are just some things I made because as I said before I have to do a lot of sitting and waiting here...and I can not just stand to sit and do nothing...I have to do something, wordfinds, this kind of stuff, messing with an ipod, working on something, anything, but I just can not stand to sit and wait...I will start pulling threads out of something for just for anything to keep me occupied.....So I finish stuff like this in no time....too bad I can't drag my paint and canvas with me all over, I'd have all kinds of paintings to put up then....those other things I just bought when I was back in Italy.....The best pics that I took are still yet to come...they turned out soooooooo beautiful and AWESOME....I really can't wait to go back to that place to see it again before we have to leave here....I"m tooo excited this next weekend is a holiday weekend for us...the last holiday of the summer....good riddens to summer....it was my last one here, and I made it through again without having to go to the hospital over heat exhaustion....That happened the first 2 years I was here, then last year, and this year, I finally had had enough of that.....So hope this week flies by, it's only Monday, and I'm ready for it to be ending.....have a good week everyone....

100 Places To See In Your Lifetime-Heaven On Earth#51-Dingle Peninsula,Ireland♥"Reaching 30 miles into the Atlantic from the southwest coast, this piece of Ireland♥ contains evidence from the Stone, Bronze and Iron ages, along with monastic sites, quaint churches and lyrical hamlets. The scenery is all green and stone, ranging from peaks above 2,000 feet to the hills and formidable cliffs of the west. You may recall seeing this splendid land in such films such as Ryan's Daughter and Far and Away." (?????) Okay never heard of those but this is gorgeous...wow...I've never heard of this either, but definately would not turn down going to Ireland...of course, who would want to turn down going to Ireland??? I would actually fit in there and wouldn't stand out so much like I do back in the states=p or over here in Japan....never again for me ever ever ever....that is a promise too!!! these are the last of these pics...finallyyyy cause I was getting sick of them and they were getting annoying....all these were of the zoo, and this is when I went with a group to a restaurant out in town a few months back, and then we went to the mall here afterwards...They have something here called "Dr. Fish." You sit on the edge of where the pool is, and put your feet in where all these small fish are, and they eat the dead skin off your feet...sounded pretty sick to me, and fish freak me out anyways, cause they get out of the water, and are flopping all over the place and I have no idea which way they are going to flop next....they say it makes your feet more smoother or something, but I think I would just rather go and pay at the spa thing instead of this...I did try it once, but it's just not for me!!! I was squirming and felt sooooo grossed out afterwards!!!!!! this Angel is a small towel that is just something I made..I do soooo much SITTING AND WAITING, and daydreaming, and waiting for time to pass, and anything else that involves just me sitting and waiting on other people around me holding me up (!!!!!) here, I can complete Art projects in just a few months, and this is one of them.....tomorrow I'll start on my new pics of the Italian gardens of an Italian restaurant that I went to here earlier this month....I want my backyard to look that way one day exactly with all the fountains and angels and tons of plants and flowers....guess I won't ever stop sneezing with all that around since I'm allergic to everything....have a good night everyone can't wait for the answer either you know.....xoxoxoxox

100 Places To See In Your Lifetime-Heaven On Earth#50-Great Barrier Reef-Australia♥"Set off the northeast coast of Australia is an interconnecting series of some 3,000 coral reefs that is about half the size of Texas and one of the Natural Wonders of the World. The Great Barrier Reef supports more than 1,500 kinds of fish, 4,000 different mollusks and 400 species of coral, and within its confines one can explore fabulous beaches, pristine rainforests and dozens of shipwrecks." wow, I want to say that I saw this, or at least part of it when I was in Australia, but it's hard to say, because my time went sooo fast, and I got lost like 3 different times, and was sooo confused....I did see ocean that went on forever, so I"m going to mark this as a "yes"...I didn't see underneath of course, but at least I stepped foot in Australia where this is...Still beautiful, and completely breathtaking...the most that I could do is go down in a submarine since I have no luck whatsoever at the scuba-diving thing...this looks soo gorgeous just from pictures....how I would LOVE to see this in real life face to face...=)Also, I found out yesterday that we will ( or should) be finding out where our follow-on assignment is after my husband is in Korea for a year....I have been worrying about it so much, that I made myself sick at my stomach for 2 days, can't sleep, keep waking up all crazy hours in the night, not able to eat, and I'm just gonna LOVE seeing how I get through this next week still not knowing....I think it's driving me crazy more than anyone else...so hope everyone is pulling for me that it will be great and not another miserable thing like it is here in Okinawa...=p Never again for me...not unless you are born here and have background stuff here you are ultimately crazy about this place...me, I have nothing over here, and my background isn't anywhere near this and I"m glad it's not...I'm too excited, nervous, and making myself sick all over again when I'm just about to get over one thing I keep giving myself a nervous stomach that will not go away....I just want it to be over with I've really had it with this place and everything is old news here...so.. FINGERS CROSSED EVERYONE!!!! I should find out in 5 days!!! ***just watched this movie and enjoyed...so much for having the 2nd largest shopping area in the military with Germany being the first if they never have anything and I still have to order everything....It's all for looks anyways....

100 Places To See In Your Lifetime#49-Barcelona,Spain-"Long known for its sense of individuality, Barcelona is a center of both commerce and art. It is a city of deep, flashing colors, with a tangible excitement that resonates from forested hills to one of Europe's busiest ports, nestled for centuries on the Mediterranean. Still, it is only in recent times that Barcelona has become a destination point, and that irresistiblity only grows stronger."Wow what a gorgeous city..=) I have no idea how I'm going to see all these places, so I guess I'll just have to see where life takes me but would love to see everyone of these of course!!! Living here in Japan, I'm constantly offered Japanese anything and everything cause all they do is eat here...They really don't know what else to do...They get together and talk and eat for several hours and that is boring to me, cause I have nothing to talk with thes e people about, we don't speak the same language, and the ones who do speak English, our personalities totally clash like you wouldn't believe...I have never met such miserable people in my entire life until I entered this lifestyle...WOW....Today it was something called chicken yakisoba....Again, NOOOO I don't like this stuff....don't mind the pasta or chicken, but they mix it with cabbage and I have no idea what else and it's just nasty looking to me....I won't touch it, and if I did have it, I would want it all separated and not touching....They still don't know the meaning over here whenever I ask for a PLAIN SALAD that is exactly what I mean is PLAIN...Just because they give me junk like peppers and olives and tomatoes celery cumcumbers, pickles and whatever else that makes me wanna hurl, isn't gonna make me start liking the stuff just because it's in front of me....That stuff stinks to me, and I don't want to look at it....They will eat anything over here as long as it's not moving...Just like they eat dog over in the Phillippines, anything that is disgusting they definately have over here in Japan...they even have a drink over here called SWEAT...how sick is that?????? I have stopped trying to understand this place ages ago.....I have much better things to do anyway!!!!!****** these are still pictures of the Okinawa Zoo here..these are of the bats they have...I"ve never seen bats this close up until I came here....they were always flying around like crazy where I used to live cause there were more trees and it was darker...now I don't really see them since we moved...they keep them in cages in the zoo here...pretty weird cause they scare me even though they have a sweet looking face....I'm nearly done with all these zoo pictures then I can get started on my new ones I have taken in the last 2 months....I just finished watching this movie....I've never heard of this ever, but it was a good story...glad to know I'm not the only one who feels bored in life being around who I have to here....it was enough to keep my attention though...
