I thought that this was the nicest story that I did it myself...same color of ink and everything...I had penpals my whole entire life until the internet came along and everything turned to email...>=( I always hoped something like this would happen to me since there is no weirdness and you already seem to know one another....I'd sure like to hear more things like this other than who's fighting about what or trouble certain celebrities have gotten into...

P.S. oh and only 1 more day 1 more day ONE MORE DAY until aheemmm<<<<<< gets outta here....okay uhh yeahhh I'm so totally celebrating whenever that happens...I"m helping to take them to the Airport here myself....just one more day and I'm free from being treated like some sort of toddler....>=L

WOW this is scary....I was supposed to be in Tokyo at this time, and would have been leaving tomorrow, and I just found out that an earthquake happened there today....I still haven't gotten over missing my flight to there, but then I saw this and somehow felt it was a blessing in disguise...we've had earthquakes here too on Okninawa, cause I have been here on my computer, and my window ornaments started rattling, and my monitor shook, then everything just stopped....I didn't realize what it was until after everything settled down...I will try and make it there in next few months cause they are already offering it again....I just hope that it's better timing for everything and this crazy weather and these nutty natural disaters calm the heck down....I am doing better just few more days until I get the in-laws outta my hair and I can have my house and my life back....talk with you all soon take care....xoxoxox

Strong earthquake shakes Tokyo area
TOKYO – A strong earthquake shook the Japanese capital and surrounding areas Sunday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties from the temblor, which rattled furniture and walls in Tokyo homes at 7:56 p.m. (1056 GMT) Sunday, the agency said.

The Japanese agency recorded the quake at a preliminary magnitude of 6.9. The United States Geological Survey said the quake was magnitude 7.1 and that it was centered in the Izu Islands some 200 miles (320 kilometers) southwest of Tokyo.

The Japanese agency said there was no danger of tsunami from the quake. It was 1,115 feet (340 meters) below the ocean bed in the waters off the eastern coast of Japan, according to the agency.

The agency said the quake shook Tokyo, as well as the prefectures (states) of Ibaraki, Saitama, Chiba and others around the capital.

Japan is one of the world's most earthquake-prone countries.

I finally made it back home from the resort yesterday but I leave again tomorrow but this time for Tokyo....=) It's pretty exhausting doing all these things but it's a total blast to me....I actually got pics from the resort this time...last time I was so wrapped up in everything I didn't get one....Anyways I got to go jet-skiing a couple of days ago...anything that wasn't water related was just toooo miserable to do....hmm it was nice there didn't do too much which is fine for me cause I cared absolutely nothing about going on the hiking trail they have not too far from there....it was nice going to the beach and swimming and finally getting to meet people on my own who actually wanted to talk with me about things I'm interested in talking about...That didn't last for long though, and I have no idea how much longer I can endure just sitting and sitting having to listen to such totally BORING breakfast and dinner conversations...I seriously think that I'm going to die it just bores me to death hearing about junk like people I have no idea who they are talking about, or the ozone layer and all this twisted up talk that makes absolutely nooo sense to me at all....it's gotten easier for me to break away little by little....let me just say that I"ve been making A LOT of trips to the bathroom just to escape this boring nothing talk....Anyways I'm really trying to look past all of that and just enjoy my time when I can....I miss my cats so much...I was away for 4 days then had to take them right away to be boarded when I got home yesterday and I won't see them for another 4-5 days....that's about the only part I don't like about having to go places, that and having to drag everything with me cause I can never make up my mind like ever on anything esp. that.....I will get the pics from Okuma posted on here later today a few of them at least...I cared nothing about the golf course or things like that....still it was a nice environment and nice place, but still it was a gated community with a huge long fence going all the way around and security all over.....I think I"ve forgotten what it's like to be out in the real world...someplace to go I mean that doesn't have some gate guard at the front and some twisted up fence wrapping all the way around it....I was there over the weekend, and it was just crawling with people all over both Americans and Japanese....then the first of the week hit and that same place was like a total ghost town...but it was nice in some ways cause it wasn't so crowded whenever I went jet skiing and would have to watch out for 7-8 other people plus the ones on the sporty speed boats pulling others behind them on the intertube thing...yes I've done that too, but I can't stand all the water being thrown up in my face the whole time...Okay I think I'll take off now I hope everyone is doing great and we get to chat some before I leave here although I'll still keep in touch while I'm in Tokyo...take care everyone only one more month of this summer stuff left....the really hot part at least...=)

Sunday 2nd August 2009
Wow what a time I've had in just the last 2 days...both good and bad....My in laws arrived about 2 days ago, and things started going nothing but wrong...My air conditioning went completely out...they came and "patched" it twice then decided to come and replace the entire thing....which is an all day job....an all day job with forcing me to be there, and everyone else hanging around as well.....I'm finally at private resort now and my husband and I have our own room away from his family which is a total blessing to me and I could hear the Hallelujah chorus start playing in my head whenever that finally happened cause I finally had my space and privacy back again instead of being right on top of each other like we had been the last few days.....Not soo good in this dying killer heat being in such close contact with people who tend to get on your very last nerve.....I've been on my own tooooooo long for that kind of thing.....also insisting on doing every little last thing together no matter what it is......Just too sufforcating for me sorry....not sure how to explain that to anyone who doesn't feel the same way about needing their solitary time and chance to break away from everyone else......I"m just not into the family thing, and I know that doesn't fly with eveyone who hears that, but nothing I can do to change it really.....Anyways, I've been trying to have the nicest time I possibly can while I'm on vacation and not having to worry about going to my work every single day for awhile....I've ABSOLUTELY LOVED sleeping in or being able to sleep whenever I want....hmmm anyways..... let's see what have I done in last few days.....well besides that crazy air conditioning scenario, not too much really....that happened and then we left to come here to Okuma again....real nice private resort...I came here last October I believe it was and loved it.....and it finally hit me today that any other place that we go to that doesn't exactly cater to Americans, then I always have that same annoying problem with their disgusting food they have and I'm stuck with just having bread rolls and crackers you break over soup for 2-3 days.....so here I don't have to face that.........hmm yesterday coming here, we stopped again at the Pineapple Park here in Nago City....I"ve been to that thing now like 5-6 times...and we are going AGAIN on the way back....I already started getting Christmas things for my family cause I don't expect to be back up this way the rest of this year....not until next year sometime maybe before we leave here for good....This is my first chance to finally break away from everyone and get online and be able to do what I want finally finally finally after like 2 days......so how thrilled to pieces do you think I am now??!!?!?!?!?! I'm not into the family thing, I've been on my own since about '96 or '98 between college and moving in and out with friends things like that, so I don't know really how it goes or what goes on....I guess families totally insist on doing every little thing together, even breathing insync it seems like sometimes.....sorry tooo much for me....I have to endure like 1-2 hour meals of just sitting at a table listening to totally boring conversation that just about kills me it's so boring.......I'm glad finally they wanted to do something that I didn't have to join in or be dragged along....I"m soooo glad to be on here again and get back in touch with everyone......
