F r i d a y J u l y 3 r d, 2 0 0 9
Happy 4th of July weekend everyone.....I'm trying to get over a sunburn now, so I really don't feel like doing much else but sleeping on and off.....I hope everyone is having a good week and looking forward to the long weekend that most of us have.....this is like the biggest holiday of the entire summer, and it's been pouring down rain here all morning, and it's still not over with.....how depressing is that....we are supposed to have fireworks tonight and tomorrow, but really can't with booming thunder all over the place here....so we'll see I guess...it was scalding hot all week long, in the 90's or 100's, and now the weekend hits with the big celebration, and we get rain, so go figure....hmm there's plenty to watch on tv the day after on all the celebrations going on around all over the USA, as well as all over the world....I'll get pics of some fireworks if those even happen and post them on here since fireworks aren't very common, and they are banned here completely unless it's at a display...I used to have so much fun with those things when I was a kid, now nothing, everything and everyone around me here is so dead boring I wonder how they can keep on living....Anyways, not my problem cause I"m nothing like that but still I'd like to have fun on the holiday....only in the states I gues where everything isn't banned or restricted....I went swimming yesterday, and it was so hot, and I of course ended up with a somewhat massive sunburn no matter how hard I tried to prevent it, because I happen to be one of the palest things on the planet earth...nothing I can do about it, but still it's annoying to me....this is pretty funny I think....it's 4th of July weekend here, and they are expecting about 70,000 people to show up at this event we are having here, and it's been pouring rain and booming thunder and lightning for about 5 hours now......how funny/irritating is that.....not that it bothers me, I can always find plenty to do, but others seem to have some sort of a problem with that....

http://living.aol.com/morning-rush/crib-death-the-early-show/28299952001 I just heard about that yesterday and came home and looked it up on here...how sick is that...I can't believe some of these stories that I read on here....hmm not anything exciting really is going on here....few more weeks and there will be plenty.... I'm getting sooo excited....this is my fave drink....I"m too happy to have it over here and find it also out in town...they didn't have it at all over in Italy....I"ll try and find a pic of the Japanese Lemon Sweet Tea that I get over here, but I'm not sure if that would even be on here....it's in the vending machines here, so maybe I"ll just take a pic of it like that.....I just happened to see this on here too, and it put fear in me all over again.....http://news.aol.com/article/north-korea-missle-test/553528 I don't like hearing stuff like that about anywhere, and I'm over here in Japan now, so the last thing that I would want is some kind of a war breaking out between Korea and the U.S. We are supposed to leave next year, and that would most likely delay it if there is any type of fighting going on between here.....I really really hope and pray that doesn't happen, and also, I still have family over there too, I don't need anything happening to anyone while I am over here like I am.....maybe it's a good thing I'm not on here very much, all it does is cause me to worry and bite my nails off whenever I find stuff out....http://www.poodwaddle.com/clocks2.htm I found this website on here either last year or the year before and became completely obsessed with watching it sometimes...I finally forgot about it, or had to make myself forget about it, cause the numbers on that thing just kept going up and up, and nothing that I could do about it....they changed it dramatically, but I happened to find it again, and thought I would put it on here, so that I would always always know where to find it at.....some of it is intersting, other stuff just makes you wonder what is going to happen next whenever you happen to hear the news.....they added way more now, and it changes to more things added that weren't there before.....not sure if it was such a good thing me ever finding out about this thing in the first place, but I've always been overly obsessed with the entire world, and other countries, so nothing seems to change that no matter what....I thought of making this my desktop, but then didn't want to be put in a bad mood that being the first thing that I happened to see, whenever I turned this on.....okay, I gotta finish a few more things around here, and I'll be back in awhile....come and chat with me whenever you all get the chance...hope you are enjoying your time off...take care miss you all....stay safe everyone....love and hugs....xxxo

0 Grams Trans Fat
In 2006, the Dr. Pepper Company launched a marketing campaign announcing that the drink is now completely free of trans fats. Despite the fact that it never contained liquids of any kind to begin with, the campaign proved to be a success for the company. As sales numbers started to soar, the company continued with followup announcements declaring Dr. Pepper no longer contains traces of lead, mercury, strontium, arsenic or dissolved rodent
feces.
Spin Offs
In 2008, Dr. Pepper Corporation produced a variant of the substance called Dr. Pepper Spray. Aimed at women, law enforcement agents and
bounty hunters, instead of the other way around as originally planned, the product raised too much negative publicity and lead to the end of the production in just 2 months.
A talk show titled "Dr. Pepper" ("23 flavours of stupidity, and he's not even a real doctor") was planned in 2006. The show was supposed to cover a wide variety of
topics, such as weight loss, financial planning, relationship problems, rebellious teenagers, dysfunctional families, paleontological discoveries and ritual cannibalism. The show did poorly in early screening sessions, and was quickly dropped.

Description
This article is from the
Dr. Pepper FAQ, by Christopher Flaherty with numerous contributions by others.
2.2 Okay, so what's in Dr Pepper?
On the label in the US, the ingredients are: Carbonated Water;Imperial Pure Cane Sugar [or "High Fructose Corn Syrup and/or Sugar,"if you're not so lucky]; Caramel Color; Phosphoric Acid; Artificialand Natural Flavors; Sodium Benzoate (Preservative); Caffeine.Chris Dunthorne (cjd@tin-god.demon.co.uk) told me on July 3, 1998,that the ingredients on the label in the UK are a little different:"Carbonated Water, Sugar, Colour (Caramel E150d), Phosphoric Acid,Flavourings, Preservative (E211), Caffeine."John Neely (drpepper@cadvision.com), a formerly anonymous Canadian, submitted "Ingredients from The Great White North" on October 27,1998: "Carbonated Water, Sugar/Glucose-Fructose, Carmel colour,Artificial and Natural flavors, Phosphoric acid, sodium benzoate,Caffeine, monosodium phosphate, lactic acid, polyethelene glycol."Trace McLean (scarletspider@bigpond.com) also on October 27, 1998,posted the ingredients for Australian Dr Pepper "taken straight fromthe bottle": "Carbonated water, sugar, colour (150), flavours, foodacids (338, 270), preservative (211), caffeine."Brad Dunham (unicorn8@airmail.net), on May 31, 2001, posted theingredients for Dietetic Dr Pepper, circa 1963: "Carbonated water, caramel color, citric acid, phosphoric acid, caffeine, sodiumcyclamate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sodium saccharin, monosodiumphosphate, lactic acid, flavoring, spices, less than 1/20th of 1%benzoate of soda (preservative), .088% sodium cyclamate, .007% sodiumsaccharine, non-nutritive artificial sweeteners which should be usedonly by persons who must restrict their intake of ordinary sweets. Nofat or protein. .28% available carbohydrates. 1/3 calorie per fl. oz."(Because of the possibility that cyclamates might promote tumors, theywere banned in the
United States as of September 11, 1970. The Foodand Drug Administration had also wanted to ban saccharin in softdrinks and other foods in 1977 because of carcinogenic concerns, butCongress extended an initial 2-year moratorium on any ban to the pointwhere the last moratorium did not expire until 2002. In the interval, all foods containing saccharin were required to include this label:"Use of this product may be hazardous to your health. This productcontains saccharin which has been determined to cause cancer inlaboratory animals." Towards the end of the century, however, thefederal government changed its mind considerably regarding saccharin. On December 31, 1991, while the moratorium was still in effect, theFDA reversed itself and announced that it would no longer try to bansaccharin in foods. Almost a decade later, on May 15, 2000, theDepartment of Health and Human Services removed saccharin from its 9thReport on Carcinogens, where it had previously been consideredcarcinogenic to humans since 1981. The final blow came on December21, 2000, when President Clinton signed H.R. 4577 into law, repealingthe warning label requirement.)Tom Reed (treed@castor.csustan.edu) posted the "modern" ingredientsfor Diet Dr Pepper in the U.S. on November 23, 1998: "Carbonatedwater, caramel color, aspartame, phosphoric acid, artificial andnatural flavors, sodium benzoate (preservative), caffeine.Phenylketonurics: contains phenylalanine."(A phenylketonuric is a person who has phenylketonuria, a.k.a. pku, orphenylpyruvic oligophrenia, a genetic disorder in which the bodycannot properly metabolize phenylalanine, an amino acid which is foundin aspartame. Among other things, excessively high levels ofphenylalanine in the body can cause mental retardation, epilepticseizures, and a decrease in melanin production. Aside from that, theFDA insists that "aspartame is safe for the general population.")Dr Pepper contains 39.6 milligrams of caffeine in every 12-ounce can, according to the Caffeine FAQ (http://www.coffeefaq.com/caffaq.html)maintained by Daniel Owen (caffeine@coffeefaq.com). The Dr Peppercompany, however, claims two other amounts: 40.8 mg of caffeine per12-ounce can, and 27.84 mg per 8-ounce serving. Regardless of whichamount is correct, this is still a little more than Pepsi(37.2mg/12oz), a little less than Coca-Cola (45.6mg/12oz), and nothingcompared to coffee, which could contain anywhere between 111 and 300mg of caffeine in a 12-ounce serving, depending on how it's prepared. The Dr Pepper company had this to say in a pamphlet it publishedsometime in either the late 1950's or early 1960's: "Its unique flavorresults from the blending of pure fruit flavors (gathered fromthroughout the world) with mystic spices, from far-off Madagascar, andclean, clear distilled sparkling water." You don't suppose one ofthose spices is vanilla, do you? On the company's web site today, they state the obvious: "It is a blend of many spices and flavorextracts. The color is supplied by caramel especially made for theproduct." In addition, the company also says the concentrate for DrPepper is kosher, and that "our products which contain High FructoseCorn Syrup may contain small amounts of corn gluten."Max Wolheim (mwolheim@aol.com), who "can't guarantee the accuracy ofany of this," posted this interesting article (with a small caveat) onJune 20, 1999:Yes, I've heard the "23 fruit flavors" of Dr. Pepper [sic] for years.I can tell you this is nonsense! I can't reveal the source (he'd getfired), but here is a list of some of the real flavoring ingredients:Vanillin (imitation vanilla)Extract of almonddenatured rum (no joke)Oil of orangelactic acid (optional; once listed separately from"flavorings")Max goes on to say: "None of this is will be confirmed by the PRpeople of the company, who reply with the evasive 'Dr. Pepper containsneither rum nor vanilla.' Substitutions are possible, depending onthe bottler, so that Dr. Pepper in one part of the country might nottaste quite the same as in some others. But denatured rum isuniversal to the formula." Take it for what it's worth.Brian McElroy (brianm@ductape.net) posted to alt.fan.dr-pepper onJanuary 19, 1998 (and emailed me a correction on June 30, 1998), abouthis visit to the Dublin Dr Pepper plant, which I think definitivelyanswers two questions at once:"Just got back today from the Dublin bottling plant and museum. Therehas been a lot of debate on what flavor Dr Pepper really is, so Iasked Mr. Kloster [Bill Kloster], the plant owner, who has worked inthat plant for almost 60 years. According to him, Dr Pepper is a mixof 23 different fruit flavors. The original creator wanted to create adrink that tasted like the smell of a soda shop. When you walked intoa soda shop in that day, you smelled all the fruit flavors of thedifferent sodas all mixed into one. So he basically took a bunch offlavors and mixed them, and came up with Dr Pepper. He said Dr Pepperdoes not and has never had prune juice in it."Alas, Brian may have been one of the last people to ask Bill Klosterthat question. Mr. Kloster passed away on September 24, 1999, at age81, having spent 67 of those years working for the Dublin Dr Pepperplant (minus two years off for service during World War II). Hisdedication to keeping pure cane sugar in Dr Pepper will be sorely missed.

Hi everyone happy July to you all....it's hard to believe that we are already in the 7th month of the year...only 6 more months left to go until Christmas....is anyone else thinking about it and excited about it like me??!! Anyways, I'm too exhausted really to do very much on here....I'm looking forward to a very long weekend without having to worry about anything, or anyone asking me to do anything....today was bowling...I'm so sore from yesterday throwing myself across the gigantic water slide and landing on my stomach and doing that over and over.....it hurts to breathe, cough, laugh, talk or bend getting up or down....oh well it was fun though, so I'm not worried.....I still completely wear myself out where I'm so tired most of the time anymore I wanna cry....then I try to sleep and can't and so it goes on and on....hmm I can't wait really....only a few more weeks and I"ll be on my vacation, and get to enjoy myself finally and not have to worry about an annoying time schedule for several weeks.....also it doesn't sound so bad to me either about getting away from certain ones that just are determined like anything to get on my very last nerve no matter what....things like fussing at me clean a sink, or I leave a single piece of paper laying somewhere, or my water, we've all heard that story, or something else so stupid I can't even remember it, or don't wanna remember it it's just so meaningless....I honestly feel really really bad for people like that, who go around just looking and picking things out about anyone possible, mainly me, cause I never quit with laughing at something or talking so much until I"m hoarse, they have to just try and kill it for me.....hmm I would imagine these people are pretty boring whenever they are alone, and do things like getting on the internet to secretly design their own bumper stickers something like "I heart mayonnaise " or "If you shave my back, I'll shave yours" yes they do have that kind of thing, mostly they have anything you can possibly think of on here, or want to get made if you are willing to pay the $$$$ for whatever it is.....I can't think of any other reason why people like that would just go around picking out itty bitty little things on others, mainly me just to hear themselves talk......like I would listen to all that in the first place....hmmm my birthday was 4 months ago, and my balloons are still up....I'm giving them until Labor Day, but now it's just getting funny.....did anyone else hear of the train crash over in Italy???? I just found out about this cause I am gone so so much anymore, and when I do come home finally, I'm so dead tired I'm never up long.... I don't like hearing all this tragedy that happened in just one month.....I was on a train I don't know how many times when I was over there, and that really shook me up whenever I heard that, cause that was about the only way to do anything....I"m the last person ever to try and find their way around a foreign country with everything in another language...then right when I was starting to pick it up some, I had to leave, so forget all that and start learning Japanese...not gonna happen with me though.....I still thought that was really scary though, cause I don't know how many times I was on one, or fell asleep on one, or on a plane, and that could happen....it pretty much twisted my stomach up in knots when I read that cause I was in Rome right before we had to move and leave for Tokyo....it's all a blur now, but still nausiating when I think of it....

AP – Cars and houses are ablaze near Viareggio's railway station Tuesday, June 30, 2009. A freight train …
By MARTA FALCONI, Associated Press Writer Marta Falconi, Associated Press Writer – Tue Jun 30, 3:19 pm ET
VIAREGGIO, Italy – Elia Quiroz was about to go to bed in his home near the railroad station in this Tuscan seaside town when the train rumbled by. His kitchen table started shaking.
"Then I heard an explosion and I went outside," the 32-year-old Italian recalled. "I saw flames as high as 30, 40 meters, and I ran."
A gas-filled train derailed while traveling through a downtown neighborhood around midnight Monday, catching residents in their sleep, and setting off a massive explosion that killed at least 14 people and injured dozens of others, most with severe burns.
Death toll figures seesawed on Tuesday, but the Civil Protection eventually put the official count at 14 dead and three missing after the body of a woman was found in her crumbled home. Some 35 of the 50 injured had suffered severe burns.
As rescuers searched through the rubble for survivors, unions and consumer groups denounced what they said is the poor safety record and aging infrastructure of Italy's rail system and questioned sending highly explosive cargo through an inhabited area.
The 14-car train was traveling from the northern city of La Spezia to Pisa when part of the convoy derailed as it passed Viareggio's station.
A car filled with liquefied petroleum gas, or LPG, sprung a leak and all it took then was a spark to cause an explosion that collapsed five buildings and set fire to a vast area. Homes crumbled or burned, killing residents as they slept.
"We saw a ball of fire rising up to the sky," said witness Gianfranco Bini, who lives in a building overlooking the station. "We heard three big rumbles, like bombs. It looked like war had broken out."
His son, Gianni Bini, said he saw a truck driver running away on fire.
"This truck was passing by ... when it was hit by the heat wave and I saw the driver ablaze, getting off and walking away" in a daze, he said.
Videos uploaded onto YouTube showed a huge plume of fire and smoke towering above Viareggio's low houses. An inferno raged through the night, consuming buildings and cars, while the sound of sirens and explosions pierced the air. TV images showed residents, their bodies blackened by the smoke, being carried away on stretchers.
Pope Benedict XVI expressed his "participation in the pain striking the whole town" and said in a telegram of condolences he was praying for the victims.
Silvio Berlusconi, Italy's center-right premier, traveled to Viareggio to take charge of the situation and was greeted with boos and cries of "go home" as he arrived at the town's municipality. Tuscany is usually a left-leaning region of Italy.
About 100 people had lost their homes and a total of 1,000 were evacuated as a precaution, said Viareggio Mayor Luca Lunardini.
As some 300 firefighters extinguished the blaze, teams specialized in dealing with nuclear, biological and chemical threats were brought in to prevent the other gas tanks from exploding.
Some of the victims, including a child, were killed at home, said Raffaele Gargiulo, a police spokesman for the nearby city of Lucca, which is in charge of Viareggio. Two drivers on the road alongside the tracks were also killed.
Others suffered severe burns and died at the hospital.
"The condition of the bodies is such that it will be very difficult to identify them," Gargiulo said.
It was Italy's deadliest train accident since January 2005, when 17 people were killed in a head-on collision between a passenger train and a freight train. The collision occurred in thick fog on a single track line near Bologna in northern Italy, and led to calls for improved train safety.
Berlusconi said at a news conference that Monday's tragedy was caused by the breakage of a wheel axis of one the gas cars.
The train's two engineers were lightly injured. While being questioned in the hospital, they said they felt an impact some 650 feet (200 meters) outside the station, shortly before part of the train flew off the tracks, Gargiulo said.
The ADUC consumer group said the train should never have traveled on that line, and blamed Italy's old railroad lines and their limited number for the disaster.
"How is it possible that such a dangerous cargo could travel through such an important station and an inhabited area?" the groups said in a statement.
The union of Italy's rail engineers called for greater checks on train cars that are registered abroad, like the ones involved in the crash.
Italy's state-run railways company said in a statement the first car appeared to derail and explode, pulling another four cars with it. The cars came from Poland and Germany and were driven by a locomotive of the Italian railways Trenitalia.
GATX Rail Europe, which is based in Vienna, said it owns the rail cars. CFO Werner Mitteregger added he did not have any details on what caused the accident.
He said a company representative has been sent to Viareggio to gather information. He had no immediate comment on the state or age of the rail cars, saying they were still trying to identify them.
EU Transport Commissioner Antonio Tajani called on EU countries to step up safety checks of Europe's rail transport sector, which is increasingly run by private operators.
Italy's Interior Minister, Roberto Maroni said it was too early to draw conclusions on the crash.
"Once the causes will be clear we will act at an Italian or European level to ensure such accidents don't happen again," he said. http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/Train-derails-explodes-Italy/ss/events/wl/062909italytrain Okeee I'd better run now, I have swimming tomorrow so I have to get ready for that....I'm still not recovered from the other stuff but all in due time I will be...hope everyone is doing fine and surviving your week....chat with u soon..take care xoxoxo=]http://www.infopointindia.com/-webpage from one of my friends I thought I'd put on here....=)
